Storm Sewer Installation and Concrete Work Progress

Week in Review: Accomplishments and Progress

This past week, the contractor continued the placement of storm sewer throughout the project area. Concrete sidewalk, driveways, and curb & gutter were prepared, framed, and poured. Grading and shaping of ditches progressed as planned. The traffic signal head at the southeast corner of Edward Road was temporarily relocated to facilitate further storm sewer work.

Looking Ahead: Planned Activities

In the upcoming week, the contractor plans to:

  • Continue placing storm sewer along the project.
  • Continue with the preparation, framing, and pouring of concrete sidewalks and driveway aprons.
  • Proceed with grading and shaping of ditches throughout the project.
  • Pave asphalt roadway patching at Edward Road.
  • Pave asphalt driveways south of Camp McDonald Road.
  • Pave the section of the parking lot south of Camp McDonald Road.
  • Begin the placement of topsoil, seed, and blanket where applicable, south of Alderman Ave.

Residents along the project limits are kindly requested to maintain their parkways in areas not affected by active construction. For safety, please keep a respectful distance from any construction activities or disturbed ground.

Community Impact: What to Expect

As construction continues, residents may experience possible lane closures, which could lead to temporary delays. Your patience and understanding are appreciated as work to improve the community’s infrastructure continues. Residents are encouraged to stay informed about the project’s progress and any anticipated changes in traffic patterns.
