Concrete Sidewalk Installation and Utility Adjustments Progress

Week in Review: Accomplishments and Progress

This past week, the contractor continued placing concrete sidewalks, driveway aprons, and curb & gutter at Old Willow Road. Additionally, inlet and pipe protection were installed, and inlet filters were cleaned to ensure proper drainage. Nicor Gas remained on-site adjusting utilities, with some driveway aprons awaiting placement in their work zone.

Looking Ahead: Planned Activities

In the upcoming week, the contractor will place topsoil, seed, and blanket in completed areas. Storm sewer installation along Wolf Road will continue. Nicor Gas will proceed with utility adjustments, and ComEd will continue bracing an existing utility pole to allow further storm sewer work at the north end of the project.

Residents along the project limits are kindly requested to maintain their parkways in areas not affected by active construction. For safety, please keep a respectful distance from any construction activities or disturbed ground.

Community Impact: What to Expect

As construction continues, residents may experience possible lane closures, which could lead to temporary delays. Your patience and understanding are appreciated as work to improve the community’s infrastructure continues. Residents are encouraged to stay informed about the project’s progress and any anticipated changes in traffic patterns.
