Sidewalk and Restoration Progress

Week in Review: Accomplishments and Progress

The contractor framed and poured concrete sidewalk leading up to the CN railroad tracks. Sidewalk closure signage and barricades remain in place until CN Railroad activates the pedestrian crossing, anticipated in early May. Additionally, rip rap placement, grading for topsoil, and re-grading of the ditch near the Metra Station progressed.

Looking Ahead: Planned Activities

Next week, the contractor plans to complete re-grading the ditch at the Metra Station, place seed and blanket throughout the project, and continue punch list work and cleanup.

Community Impact: What to Expect

As construction continues, residents may experience possible lane closures, which could lead to temporary delays. Your patience and understanding are appreciated as work to improve the community’s infrastructure continues. Residents are encouraged to stay informed about the project’s progress and any anticipated changes in traffic patterns.
