Sidewalk Preparation and Utility Adjustments Progress

Week in Review: Accomplishments and Progress

This past week, the contractor continued preparing concrete sidewalks and driveway aprons at Old Willow Road. Progress was made connecting sump pump discharges to the proposed storm sewer system. Nicor Gas remained on-site adjusting utilities, with some driveway apron installations pending in their work zone.

Looking Ahead: Planned Activities

In the upcoming week, the contractor will place topsoil, seed, and blanket in completed areas. Concrete pouring for sidewalks and driveway aprons at Old Willow Road will continue. Nicor Gas will continue with utility adjustments, and ComEd will continue bracing a utility pole to enable further storm sewer work at the north end of the project.

Residents along the project limits are kindly requested to maintain their parkways in areas not affected by active construction. For safety, please keep a respectful distance from any construction activities or disturbed ground.

Community Impact: What to Expect

As construction continues, residents may experience possible lane closures, which could lead to temporary delays. Your patience and understanding are appreciated as work to improve the community’s infrastructure continues. Residents are encouraged to stay informed about the project’s progress and any anticipated changes in traffic patterns.
