Week in Review: Accomplishments and Progress
This past week the contractor completed the placement of storm sewer along Wolf Road and continued prepping and pouring sidewalks, driveways, and curb & gutter. Parkway grading and topsoil placement were completed throughout the project, and hot mix asphalt driveways and patches were placed as planned. Pedestrian push buttons, pedestrian signals, and detection were activated at Edward Road, Camp McDonald Road, Old Willow Road, and Palatine Frontage Road.
AT&T began adjusting a manhole in the sidewalk north of Edward Road, while Nicor continued landscape restoration and roadway pavement patching adjacent to their work.
Looking Ahead: Planned Activities
Next week, the contractor will finalize driveway placements and complete seeding and blanketing. Pavement striping is also scheduled throughout the project. AT&T is set to complete the manhole adjustment north of Edward Road, and Nicor plans to finish landscape restoration and roadway pavement patching.
Residents along the project limits are kindly requested to maintain their parkways in areas not affected by active construction. For safety, please keep a respectful distance from any construction activities or disturbed ground.
Community Impact: What to Expect
As construction continues, residents may experience possible lane closures, which could lead to temporary delays. Your patience and understanding are appreciated as work to improve the community’s infrastructure continues. Residents are encouraged to stay informed about the project’s progress and any anticipated changes in traffic patterns.
