Week in Review: Accomplishments and Progress
This past week, the contractor continued the placement of storm sewer along the project area. Preparation, framing, and pouring of concrete sidewalks and driveway aprons continued, along with the grading and shaping of ditches. The contractor also framed for pedestrian signal foundations and handholes and began prepping for asphalt driveway aprons. Nicor Gas was on-site adjusting their utilities to facilitate the storm sewer installation.
Looking Ahead: Planned Activities
In the upcoming week, the contractor will continue with the preparation, framing, and pouring of concrete sidewalks and driveway aprons. Grading and shaping of ditches will proceed, and paving asphalt roadway patching at Edward Road will take place. Asphalt driveways south of Camp McDonald Road and residential asphalt driveway aprons along the project will also be paved. Additionally, the section of the parking lot south of Camp McDonald Road will be paved. The contractor plans to pour pedestrian traffic signal post foundations and handholes, and reconstruct sanitary manholes throughout the project. Nicor Gas will continue adjusting their utilities to support the storm sewer installation.
Residents along the project limits are kindly requested to maintain their parkways in areas not affected by active construction. For safety, please keep a respectful distance from any construction activities or disturbed ground.
